Fran Avni
Before her extraordinary musical career, Fran’s first love was drawing and creating “colourscapes”. During the pandemic, she began photographing the moods and changes of her surroundings particularly in her wonderful garden space. Playing with light and shade and various formats, Fran created a collection of nature photos and photographs of fruits, vegetables and common objects, which then evolved into computer art - combining reality and imagination. Finally, she began drawing and painting.
Fran now spends her time entering a different world of immediacy and imagination. Working with pastels, crayons, pencils, pen, ink and watercolour brush pens, she creates images that evoke and playfully engage her viewers. Her vast collection reflects her moods, moments and connections in a visual, visceral manner.

Fran Avni has enjoyed a multipronged professional career in music spanning over four decades, three countries, numerous recordings and countless concerts and workshops. Internationally acclaimed, her music spans generations and denominations and her gentle energy warmly connects audiences of all ages. Her work is included in numerous songbooks, musical anthologies and compilations as well as textbooks and educational curricula.
